The function of fasteners is to fasten and connect mechanical parts, which is widely used. It is difficult to select the type of standard part library which needs to be searched step by step. Fasteners are not assembled in groups. They need to be assembled in sequence. When modifying or deleting the assembled fasteners, it is necessary to operate one by one, which is inefficient and does not conform to the design habit. Generally, the fastener holes are drilled before assembling the fastener. The fastener specifications are not related to the size of the screw hole and cannot be updated synchronously when the design changes. The combination and mating methods of fasteners need to consult relevant standards or mechanical design manuals, which is not convenient for enterprises to accumulate and transfer common fasteners knowledge.
 
This paper takes 3d CAD software Pro/E as the object, makes some research on fastener rapid automatic assembly technology, and gives the implementation method.
 
The fastener tool is customized for the enterprise and its basic data comes from the enterprise's standard parts library. The main function is to meet the requirement that enterprise customers can find and call enterprise standard parts easily in the process of fastener design, and support the assembling, batch assembly, modification and deletion of fasteners, so as to save time and improve design efficiency. The specific requirements are as follows: the system is a secondary development tool and should adopt advanced software architecture to ensure stable, reliable, extensible and easy maintenance and upgrade of system performance. The system should be integrated seamlessly with 3d CAD design software without affecting the use of 3d CAD design software. In addition, if the enterprise's standard part library is stored in the PDM system, the tool must be integrated with the PDM system to read the fastener information under the specified path. In order to facilitate the management of fasteners, the enterprise standard parts library must be sorted out first, and the common fasteners specifications, mating methods and combination methods must be standardized. Provide visual and integrated program interface, display different choices in real time in the interface, and express assembly effect intuitively. The last operation information is automatically recorded to facilitate repeated operation.
 
Quick selection is fast from the specified in the standard parts library to select the required fasteners, its basic idea is using the application reads the specified path automatically under standard parts library information, and in a graphical interface based on standard number, specification, performance, grade, surface treatment, material code attribute parameters, such as filtering, query, program according to the selection of fastener information to automatically match the model of the fasteners.
 
This kind of wizard selection method can not only quickly select the required fasteners, but also effectively manage and control the common fasteners specifications of enterprises.
 
In addition, in order to enhance properties parameter selection in the process of assembly automation, this paper also studies the bolts, nuts, washers, etc. The parameters of the automatic matching function, namely, when the user selects a bolt of nominal diameter, the hole according to the precision grade and cooperate with the different way, the system automatically read in standard parts library information filter out in the table with selected bolt nominal diameter matching nut, washer and other parameters, so as to realize the quick selection of matching fasteners group and updated.
 
The realization of group assembly is one of the key technologies of fastener tools. The core idea is to define the supporting fasteners into groups in the assembly model.

Therefore, the fastener tool software is developed in combination with VC++ and Pro/TOOLKIT.
 
According to the ideas of group assembly and other ideas, MicrosoftVisualC++ is used for programming. Fastener tools conforming to assembly habits have been developed on the Pro/E platform of 3d CAD software. Fastener functions such as rapid selection, group assembly and intelligent punching have been realized. It is proved that this tool has a significant effect on improving the efficiency of fastener design and is convenient for enterprises to accumulate and transfer the knowledge of fastener.
